Winter Cove Provincial Park Situated at the northwest end of Saturna Island, this park is considered 91-hectares of paradise. Amongst the abundant Douglas fir trees, wildflowers, waters and shore, one can find kayakers, hikers and fishers enjoying the serenity. Gulf Islands National Park Established in 2003, Gulf Islands National Park consists of a number of former provincial parks, including McDonald Park, Sidney Spit Marine Park, D'Arcy Island Marine Park, and Beaumont Marine Park. The park contains 15 larger islands as well as islets and reefs that are spread throughout the southern portion of the Gulf Islands. East Point Regional Park This picturesque day park is filled with eroded limestone and other earthly riches. Many birds and marine animals, including harbour seals and passing whales, frequent the area. In the east one can view snow capped Mount Baker.
